Finishes
The finishes on our Signature portfolio are part of what makes Duracraft unique. The colors are in the gel-coat and so the finishes will not fade, flake, or peel and there is no deterioration from UV radiation. Additionally, our metallic finishes (Bronze, Cast Iron) include metal powders in the gel-coat. This creates two desirable effects. The first is that the metallic planters are resistant to minor scratches and scrapes. Simply buff them out with steel wool (type 00) to restore the finish and remove minor blemishes. The second effect is that the metal powders will create a natural aging effect on the bronze finish with beautiful color variations around the design lines.
Metallic Finishes | Bronze (BR): Our bronze finish is made with bronze powder in the gel-coat. This finish will develop a lovely blue-green verdigris around the design edges that will continue to age the planter gracefully. These planters have the heavy metal look of bronze but have the light-weight feature of fiberglass.
| | | Cast Iron (CI): Our cast iron finish is a metallic black finish which will retain the look of a new cast iron planter. Made with metal powder in the gel-coat to give it the scratch resistant capability that are planters are known for. The Cast Iron finish is for those customers who like the traditional look of new black cast iron, but without the development of rust coloration.
