Fiberglass weighs approximately 1/8^th the weight of cast iron or concrete planters. This is becoming increasingly popular to an aging baby boomer population who are showing an increased interest in leisure gardening. With Duracraft, you can keep the traditional look and give up the traditional weight.

Traditional fiberglass products use a low grade fiber cloth which is then painted with resin during the molding process. This can create a layering effect allowing water penetration to cause separation of layers over time.

DURACRAFT uses an industrial grade fiberglass component immersed in a high grade resin base to create a fully bonded or integrated product. The external gel-coat (approximately 1/8" thick) is also bonded to the fiberglass creating a seamless bond that is stronger than clay, concrete and even cast iron products.

The external finish of DURACRAFT products is not a painted layer. Rather the color extends throughout the gel-coat layer and therefore it will not peel, flake or fade away. Small scratches or chips can simply be buffed away to restore the natural color and luster of our products.
